Warranty & returns

We care about our products and naturally do our best to deliver them to you in top condition. However, it sometimes happens that an order is damaged during transport or that something else happens that means you can make a claim under the warranty. Are you not satisfied with how your package was delivered?

Send us a photo of how your package arrived and we will contact you as soon as possible. You can email support@foodandwood.nl.

Legally, you are obliged to report this to us within two months of discovering the defect. If the defect falls within the warranty, we will arrange for replacement free of charge.

When does the warranty expire?

We guarantee the freshness of the products until the first delivery attempt at the specified address and the first delivery attempt at the neighbors. After this time this warranty expires. If a second delivery attempt to your address is required, you can still safely accept your package, but the warranty will be void.

Therefore, make sure you are present at the (first) time of delivery and place the food in the refrigerator as soon as possible. Please note: not in the freezer, because the products cannot be frozen again. This is not safe for perishable products.


If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you can invoke the cooling-off period. The reflection period is 14 days. Please notify us within 14 days of which goods you wish to return by sending an email to support@foodandwood.nl. After cancellation you have another 14 days to return the product. Shipping costs are at your own expense.

We will credit the full amount within 14 days after we have received your product(s) back. This reflection period starts on the day after receipt of the product by the consumer.

Important: Returns do not apply to perishable goods such as meat, fish and other food items. Returns are not possible in that case. You can return other products, such as accessories and wooden drinks boards.

During the cooling-off period, the consumer will handle the product and packaging with care. He will only unpack or use the product to the extent necessary to assess whether he wishes to keep the product. If he exercises his right of withdrawal, he will return the product with all accessories supplied and - if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging.
